SunRising Associate Composite Material Manufacturing

Light by Design.
Strong by Process.

From carbon fiber prepreg panels to complex molded structures — SunRising's composite manufacturing capabilities deliver aerospace-grade strength-to-weight performance for UAV airframes, industrial components, and structural applications.

High Strength-to-Weight

Carbon fiber composites deliver tensile strength comparable to steel at one-fifth the weight. Ideal for airframe panels, structural ribs, and load-bearing brackets.

Design Flexibility

Fiber orientation and ply stackup tailored per application. Anisotropic properties allow engineers to direct stiffness exactly where the structure demands it.

Corrosion Resistance

Carbon and glass fiber composites are chemically inert in most operating environments — eliminating the surface protection requirements of aluminum or steel alternatives.

Thermal Stability

Low coefficient of thermal expansion across operating temperatures from −55 °C to +150 °C. Critical for precision assemblies where dimensional stability cannot be compromised.

One Facility.
Every Form Factor.

Carbon Fiber Structural Panels — SunRising Associate
01

Structural Flat Panels

Unidirectional and woven carbon fiber panels for chassis skins, floor plates, and equipment enclosures. Custom thickness from 0.5 mm to 15 mm.

  • Fiber — T300, T700, T800 carbon or E/S-glass
  • Surface — Peel-ply, sanded, or painted finish
  • Size — Up to 1,200 × 2,400 mm per sheet
Carbon Fiber Tubes — SunRising Associate
02

Tubes & Profiles

Roll-wrapped and pultrusion carbon fiber tubes for UAV booms, robotic arms, and antenna masts. Consistent wall thickness and concentricity across production batches.

  • Outer diameter — 6 mm to 120 mm
  • Wall — 0.5 mm minimum
  • Length — Custom, up to 2,000 mm
Sandwich Panel — SunRising Associate
03

Sandwich Panels

Carbon fiber face sheets bonded to Nomex or aluminum honeycomb cores. High bending stiffness at minimal weight — standard in UAV wings, fairings, and access panels.

  • Core — Nomex (aerospace) or aluminum honeycomb
  • Density — From 29 kg/m³ (3 pcf)
  • Application — Wing skins, floor panels, bulkheads
Complex Composite Parts — SunRising Associate
04

Complex Molded Parts

Near-net-shape parts with integrated ribs, flanges, and inserts — produced via RTM or matched-die press molding. Reduces downstream machining and secondary bonding operations.

  • Application — Motor mounts, junction frames, payload housings
  • Insert — Threaded metal inserts co-cured or post-bonded
  • Lead time — Prototype in 2–3 weeks
